What People Are Saying about
CfAL for Digital Inclusion
“I’ve fallen in love with this course. I’ve always thought computers were cool, but having a career in it seemed distant. It seems obtainable now and that’s eye-opening. Today was a great session, it was great to know there is a career here that I can enjoy, helping people and working with computers in a rewarding way and having some upward mobility. The small challenges of troubleshooting aren’t soul-crushing and solving them feels rewarding. I love the hands-on aspect of IT. The skills we learn here are the foundation of everything else in tech. It’s simple by design, but that makes it digestible and applicable to a number of future careers.”

“This was a great class! Thanks for the computer. I really needed this. Now I can do schoolwork. This will make looking for jobs and filling out housing applications better and easier.”

“I liked everything about the program. I've been interested in technology and computers for as long as I can remember but haven’t had the opportunity to engage with them until this program. Everything was fun and new to me and I enjoyed it a lot. Getting to learn photo editing and building a computer, and coding were my favorite parts. I am looking at a career in game design when I’m done with school and I feel like learning to code and learning photo editing will help me on that career path. I feel like I have a foundation to coding that I can build off of in the future.”

“I feel like I am more likely to be accepted to the college of my choice. It was a really, really great experience overall and would 10/10 recommend this to others. Because I won’t have to buy [a computer] in the future, it makes financial choices easier and better for me.”
