Looking for FREE computer training? We understand that everyone learns differently, and offer programs and training in different formats:
Instructor-Led Classes:
Introduction to Computer Literacy - 4 half-day, in-person programs for adults to learn basic computer use including introductions to Word, Excel, and Canva.
Foundation to a Career in Computers - A 6-week program designed for 18–26-year-olds that want to have a career in technology.
Technology Help Desk: Schedule a one-on-one technical support session, or get help finding computer access or affordable internet service.
Intermediate and Advanced Classes: In-person training to build computer skills to help with job seeking and workforce advancement, and everyday computer skills
Typing.com: Learn proper typing form, or just get some good practice with games and lessons.
Youth Programs: In partnership with local youth programs, CfAL offers afterschool and summer programming. Participants will learn building and coding robots, photo editing and more. High School aged youth have the opportunity to refurbish their own computers. Contact us to learn more.

Instructor-Led Classes: Intro to Computer Literacy
Have a lot to learn? Want to brush up on some of your skills? The Intro to Computers program is a 4 half-day in-person program. You will learn how to navigate your computer, the basics of Word and Excel, budgeting and job hunting, Google Drive, and more!
NOTE: Classes are FREE and offered in different locations. Please note the location of the class you wish to attend. You may also qualify for a FREE refurbished computer.
Instructor-Led Classes: Foundation to a Career in Computers
This is a 6-week program for participants between the ages of 18-26 that will provide skills to build a pathway into a technology career. Students learn how to take a computer apart, learn the components of a computer, installation of hardware and software, troubleshooting, and reimaging. Students that successfully complete the program, will receive a FREE refurbished computer.

Whether you need a little extra help with affordable internet access or computer access, creating a resume in Word, a personal budget in Excel, or uploading your resume to Indeed, our technology help desk is here to help!

Free Typing Lessons
Typing skills can help save time in completing writing assignments. Typing.com combines lessons with fun typing games that are entertaining for children AND adults! Typing.com also offers lessons in internet safety.

Youth Programs - Empowering Youth Through Technology
During the summer of 2024, CfAL will be partnering with the YMCA to offer youth programs from 3rd grade through 8th grade.
Students will be learning robotics, coding, photo editing, team work and much more!
